Happy Second Week of December!

Reflections:
We have been very busy this week! Our room is decorated for the holidays, and we have written some fun winter stories.

Important Dates:
12-07 to 12-11 Holiday Shop
12-09-09 Holiday Musical
12-11-09 Holiday gift making.
12-11-09 Last day for homework to be turned in for this quarter.
12-16-09 Report cards go home. It is a half day, with no lunch or after school.
12-17-09 to 1-01-10 Winter Vacation, no school.
1-04-10 School resumes

New Info:
Wednesday, December 09, 2009, is the La Paloma Holiday Musical. It will be at Grace Chapel, beginning at approximately 9:15 a.m. The third grade class will walk over there. Since we are leaving school grounds, students must return to me a signed permission slip in order to participate.
Our class should wear blue jeans and a white or red collared shirt for the Holiday Musical. Elves may wear elf hats, and reindeer may wear antlers.

During the holiday season, we like to help those who are less fortunate. Please send in a can of vegetables, fruit, or soup for our Holiday Food Drive.

Wednesday, December 16, 2009, our class is having a holiday celebration. Students are encouraged to bring food to share with others. I will supply drinks. Students may also bring a non electronic game to school to play with other students. We are also having a voluntary gift exchange. Students who wish to participate should not spend more than $5.00 on a gift, and should buy a gift for a child of the same gender. The wrapped gift may be brought to school on the day of the celebration.

Reminders:
There is a little over one week of school days left for this quarter. It is imperative that assignments missed due to absence be turned in by 12-11-09. Otherwise, they will not be able to be included in this grading period.

12-16-09 Is the last day of the second quarter. Report cards will go home, and it is a half day with no lunch served or after school care. We will be dismissed at 11:30 p.m.

12-17-09 to 1-01-10 is our Winter Vacation. There will be no school during that time. School we resume on 1-04-10.
