Hello Everyone:
Reflections:
This was an interesting week! We are learning about photosynthesis during Science, and the Earth’s physical features during Social Studies.
Important Dates:
9-09-09 Entertainment book sale over
9-11-09 Heroes' Night at Lakeside Campus
9-11-09 Mid Quarter.
New Info:
On Friday, September 11, 2009 from 7-9 pm at the Lakeside campus, La Paloma Academy will honor some local heroes. Student contributions, in the form of essays and posters, will be available at the celebration. I look forward to seeing everyone there.
A huge thank you to everyone who made the first Dress Down Day a success. Clothes were appropriate, and it was fun to see what everyone decided to wear.
The weather is still very warm. Students are advised to bring a water bottle to school that they can keep on their desk.
We have P.E. on Tuesday and Thursday. Students should wear athletic shoes on those two days. Any other types of shoes increase the possibility of injury.
Any time one student intentionally harms another student the police must be called. In this situation, parents are also notified, and consequences at the school level are likely.
