Rodeo Break is February 25, 2010 and February 26, 2010. There will be no school on these two days.

Reminders:
This year, Valentine’s Day is on Sunday. We will have a Valentine’s Day card exchange on Friday, February 12, 2010. It will be during the last hour of the day. Students may bring nutritious snacks to share with the class during this time. Please do not send in cookies or cupcakes.

Mid-quarter progress reports will be going home during the week of February 8, 2010. Only those students with a grade of 75% or less will receive one.
Love of Reading week begins February 8, 2010 and ends February 12, 2010. We will be engaging in many activities to express our love of reading. I would like to invite parents to celebrate with us by volunteering to come in and read a book to the class. Anyone who wishes to read to the class during Love of Reading week should let me know which date and time is convenient for them by Friday, February 05, 2010.

Talent Show auditions are in February. Keep practicing!

Students should be reading a minimum of 1 hour a week. Each reading session should be recorded on the reading log, and submitted to me on Friday.

I encourage you to contact me with any questions, comments, or concerns. You may call the school to set up an appointment, or email me at mpelchy@cox.net. View my blog at http:mrspelchy.blogspot.com/ for
