Reflections:
Love of Reading was a huge success. We had a great time listening to, reading, and exploring books.
I am really looking forward to meeting the grandparents that are coming for Grandparent’s Day!
Important Dates:
2-24-10 Grandparents’ Day
2-25-10 and 2-26-10 Rodeo Break, No School.
3-05-10 Last Day for Homework to be turned in for third quarter.
3-11-10 End of third quarter. Report cards go home. It is a ½ day, no after school, or lunch.
3-12-10 to 3-15-10 Spring Recess, No school.
4-01-10 to 4-05-10 Easter Break, No School.
New Info:
Due to the short week, we will not have any spelling assignments or a spelling test this week.
Some students are becoming lax about turning in homework on time. As a result, they are having so much to do during Homework Club, they are not finishing all their work. This is causing them to fall behind, and will affect their grade. Friday, 03-05-2010 is the last day assignments may be submitted for credit this quarter. Students have received all missing assignments a minimum of three times, by the end of the week they are issued. Additional copies will not be made unless requested. All requests must be submitted by 03-02-2010. This will give me time to prepare the copies, and the student time to complete the work.
Reminders:
Grandparents’ Day is 02-24-10, from 9:30am-11:30am. The school must be notified if your child will have a grandparent at school on this day. This will allow the school to have enough food for everyone. I am looking forward to seeing all the grandparents! Students may wear Western attire, or Friday dress to school on Wednesday, 2-24-10.
Rodeo Break is 02- 25- 2010 and 02-26- 2010. There will be no school on these two days.
Students should be reading a minimum of 1 hour a week. Each reading session should be recorded on the reading log, and submitted to me on Friday.
