Hi Everyone!

Reflections:
As amazing as it seems, this semester is almost over. I hope you all enjoy the Spring Break, and come back refreshed for the fourth quarter!

Important Dates:
3-11-10 End of third quarter. Report cards go home. It is a ½ day, no after school, or lunch.
3-12-10 to 3-15-10 Spring Recess, No school.
3-16-10 Skate Night at Skate Country
4-01-10 to 4-05-10 Easter Break, No School.

New Info:
Congratulations to everyone who competed in the Spelling Bee. You all did a fantastic job! And congratulations to Martin Rascon for his second place win!

The quarter is officially over Thursday, 3-11-10. This is a half day. Students will be dismissed at 11:30 a.m., and there will be no lunch or after school.

Report cards will be issued on 3-11-10. Please sign and return the enclosed form signifying receipt of the report card, and indicate whether you wish to have a conference when school resumes after the break.

There will be no school due to our Spring Break, 3-12-10 to 3-15-10. School will resume on Tuesday, 3-16-10.

We will be completing assignments this week, which will be applied to the fourth quarter. Any missed assignments will need to be completed and turned in for credit.

On St. Patrick’s Day, 3-17-10, students may wear a green shirt and jeans, or the school uniform to school.

The Talent Show will be the week of 3-22-10.

There has been an increase in absences this quarter. For the most part, students are completing work that they missed. Unfortunately, when students are not able to be at school for the original class instruction and activities, they often struggle with the material. As all material is based on prior information, and is support for subsequent information, missing a class day can affect a students performance.

Reminders:
Students should be reading a minimum of 1 hour a week. Each reading session should be recorded on the reading log, and submitted to me on Friday.

I encourage you to contact me with any questions, comments, or concerns. You may call the school to set up an appointment, or email me at mpelchy@cox.net. View my blog at http:mrspelchy.blogspot.com/ for
