Reflections:
This year is just flying by! It is already May. Although we have been having some very unseasonal weather, summer is around the corner. Have you started making summer plans yet? Please check at the office for information about the Summer Program at LPA.
Important Dates:
5-03 to 5-07 Book Fair: buy one, get one free
5-05-10 $1.00 Dress Down Day
5-07-10 Pancake Breakfast with Principal
5-26-10 Yearbook signing party
5-28-10 Last day of school
New Info:
The Book Fair is here. It is a wonderful event! For every book purchased, students and parents can get another one free.
The Olympics was a great success! Students had a wonderful time performing in the events. Congratulations to the Olympic winners.
Wednesday, 5-05-10, is the last $1.00 Dress Down Day for this school year. If you choose to participate, please dress appropriately.
Congratulations to the girls for contributing the most money in our Penny War. Girls will receive a free dress down day on 5-11-10.
Pancake Breakfast with the Principal is on 5-01-10. This is your last chance this year to eat pancakes with Mr. Rubasch.
We will be having regular classroom academics through 5-21-10. At that time, all homework assignments are due. Nothing will be accepted after that date. After that date, all classroom activities will be review activities.
Reminders:
Our classroom desperately needs pencils, facial tissue, and disinfectant wipes. We do NOT have enough of these items to last for the rest of the year. Please send these items to school as soon as possible. Thank you to those of you who have already helped us.
As the weather is getting warmer, I recommend that all students bring a water bottle to school. They may keep it on their desk.
Students should be reading a minimum of 1 hour a week. Each reading session should be recorded on the reading log, and submitted to me on Friday.
I encourage you to contact me with any questions, comments, or concerns. You may call the school to set up an appointment, or email me at mpelchy@cox.net. View my blog at http:mrspelchy.blogspot.com/ for
